Common questions
Do I need internet access after installing updates?
No. Internet access is only required during the update process. After installation, the processor operates normally without internet connectivity. However, internet access is needed for future update checks.
Will updates affect my presets and settings?
No. Firmware updates preserve your presets and system configuration. However, backing up your presets before major updates is strongly recommended as a precaution. In rare cases, major version changes may require preset adjustments.
Can I install updates using the mobile app?
No. Updates require the desktop Trinnov Application (macOS or Windows). Mobile apps cannot download and install firmware updates due to file size and system requirements.
How often should I update my processor?
Install updates when they become available, especially for bug fixes and security improvements. Trinnov releases updates periodically to improve performance, add features, and ensure compatibility with new technologies. Check for updates quarterly or when experiencing issues.
Can I downgrade to a previous version?
Downgrading firmware is generally not supported and may cause configuration issues. If you experience problems after updating, contact Trinnov support before attempting any version changes. They can provide guidance specific to your situation.
What if my update procedure doesn't match any of these?
If your product or version isn't covered in this article, contact Trinnov support or your authorized reseller. They can provide the correct update procedure for your specific configuration.
