Can my processor be updated with additional software licenses?

It depends on which processor you are using. Trinnov’s software licensing system is only compatible with processors launched after 2023.

Can I transfer licenses to a different processor?

No. Licenses are permanently tied to a specific processor's serial number and cannot be transferred, moved, or shared between units.

What happens to licenses if I sell my processor?

Licenses remain with the processor when ownership changes. The new owner receives the processor with all installed licenses intact. This adds value to the processor in the secondary market.

Do licenses expire or require renewal?

No. Trinnov licenses are permanent and never expire. Once installed, they remain active for the life of the processor.

Can I purchase licenses directly from Trinnov?

No. All license purchases must be made through authorized Trinnov dealers. This ensures proper registration and support throughout the purchasing process.

Do I need internet access to use my processor after installing licenses?

No. Internet access is only required during the initial license installation. After installation, the processor operates normally without internet connectivity.

Can I install licenses using the mobile app?

No. License installation requires the desktop Trinnov app (macOS or Windows). Mobile apps cannot download and install licenses.

What if my dealer is no longer in business?

Contact another authorized Trinnov dealer in your region. Provide your processor's serial number, and they can assist with license purchases and registration.

Do firmware updates affect licenses?

No. Licenses are independent of firmware versions. Updating firmware does not remove, modify, or require reinstallation of licenses.

Can I preview additional channels before purchasing licenses?

No. Channels become active only after licenses are purchased and installed. However, your dealer can demonstrate expanded configurations using their demo equipment.

How do I check which licenses I've already purchased?

Navigate to System → General → About in your processor. The License field shows your current active channel count. Your purchase records from your dealer also document license purchases.
